Dana Fears, LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor/Supervisor
My Approach
I take a holistic, trauma-informed, and strengths-based approach to therapy, integrating Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, Attachment Theory, Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and BrainSpotting. I believe in the power of transformation and see myself as a guide in helping clients reclaim their personal strength and healing.
My Experience
I specialize in working with individuals facing deep grief, attachment wounds, and disability empowerment. Many of my clients are survivors of childhood trauma, navigating loss, codependency, or chronic health concerns. My career began in school and community-based therapy, later transitioning to adult-focused work in grief, trauma, and disability advocacy. As an approved supervisor candidate in Oregon, I also provide clinical supervision for counseling associates.
My path to therapy is shaped by my own experiences overcoming bullying, domestic violence, cancer, substance abuse, and mental health challenges, as well as growing up with an autistic parent. These experiences fuel my passion for helping others heal. I am a two-time cancer survivor, past recipient of the Elie Wiesel Ethics Award, and deeply involved in my community. I enjoy art, writing, traveling, and volunteering with my husband and daughter.
